Kitty Cat Bandit

FOUND on LA WEEKLY

That notorious 'Kitty Cat Tagger' we told you about last month -- the artist who's feline graphics have been seen on buildings, bus benches, and other public property -- was sentenced to 90 days in county jail for public displays, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office announced Tuesday.

Rick Ordonez, a 33-year-old graphic designer by day who lived in Alhambra, was also given three years of supervised probation.

He was also ordered to put in 300 hours worth of graffiti-removal work and pay $8,675.38 in restitution to Los Angeles County, the California Department of Transportation and Metrolink.

The sentencing was part of a plea agreement that had the D.A.'s office drop five counts in exchange for a plea of guilty to one cout of felony vandalism, the office stated.

Authorities say the suspect, known on the street as "Atlas" (and by day as nerdy guy who draws cats) took place between January and March.
