RIP Jonas Bevacqua - CO Founder of LRG
Jonas Bevacqua (co founder of LRG), was found dead this morning in Los Angeles. They say he died in his sleep at the age of 34. (sounds fishy to me)
We normally do not post on other fashion brands, but we have nothing but respect for the mans vision and accomplishments for LRG and street wear. He definitely left his mark with his brand that he built. LRG was the shit when was in high school. You couldn't go anywhere without seeing it!! Rest In Peace Jonas Bevacqua

MOCA, LA WALL PRODUCTION
At MOCA's "Art In The Streets", the LA wall had a lot of history on it. From old school WISK, OIL, and SER throw ups, to characters from writers like MEAR and SLICK, and tags from CHAKA,HAELER and K2S. This wall really had a variety of writers from the 80's to 90's LA era. Which styles are a lot different then the styles today, but its good for people outside the graffiti world to see how LA graff styles evolved from then to now.
Video Below, is the making of this wall.(This was before, Mear, Slick and few other writers added their touch on the wall)

Pacman vs Sugar Shane
Big fight tomorrow night with Manny the Pac-man Pacquiao vs Sugar Shane Mosley! Since Mayweather decided he didn't want to fight the Pac-man, Manny decided that his next victim will be Mosley. Sugar Shane will give him a hard time but he's too old to keep up with the quicker Pacquiao! So I gotta put my ends on the Pac MAN himself! Should be a great fight though! So make sure you witness this anticipated fight!
Your next Mayfeather! Better not come out with that under the weather type shit!!!!

NO BITERS ALLOWED 5/7/11
In May, Crewest celebrates it's 9 Year Anniversary!
Being the first and longest running brick and mortar gallery in L.A. exclusively dedicated to graffiti we thought this show better be special.
We decided to put on a group show to not only inspire but also educate our viewers and followers about the historical contribution of some of these great graffiti artists from the West Coast.
“No Biters Allowed” is an exhibition featuring the work of artists who have been painting graffiti or active since the 1980’s and from the West Coast. These artists were pivotal in transforming the landscape of what graffiti and urban art is all about to us.
All these artists had their roots in graffiti painting and writing. Some of these artists have gone on to become fine artists, graphic designers, and self-employed owners of different companies. Others have chosen to work as mentors to young people by offering their graffiti creativity as a positive source of inspiration.
This exhibit will focus on the artwork old and new created by some of today’s most recognized street legends from that golden era.
Artists include:
ACME, AXIS, CHAZ BOJORQUEZ, CRAYONE, CRE8, DEFER, DUCE, ESTRIA, FEAR, HEAVEN, HECTOR "HEX TGO" RIOS, MANDOE, MAN ONE, MEAR, MURAL, NEON, NUKE, PANIC, PJAY, PRECISE,PRIME, RELIK, RISKY, SACRED194, SHANDU, SINER, SLICK, STREET PHANTOM, TEMPT, VOGUE, VYAL, ZENDER
*We will be hosting several artist talks and special events to coincide with this exhibition and our 9 Year Anniversary.
